At the Muhammadu Ibrahim Foundation, we are dedicated to transforming lives. Our mission is to empower indigent women and children by providing access to essential resources such as education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. We believe that every woman and child deserves the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.
Our Impact
Since its inception, Muhammadu Ibrahim Foundation has reached over 50,000 women and children in marginalised communities, with over 10,000 women becoming financially independent through our economic empowerment programs. More than 5,000 children have been provided access to quality education, and our healthcare initiatives have significantly reduced maternal and child mortality rates in the areas we serve.
Education
We provide scholarships, educational materials, and support systems to ensure that children and young women have access to quality education.
Healthcare
Our healthcare initiatives focus on improving maternal and child health, offering free medical camps, and supporting local clinics.
Economic Empowerment
We offer vocational training, microloans, and mentorship programs to help women start and sustain their businesses.
Partnerships & Collaborations
Muhammadu Ibrahim Foundation collaborates with local governments, international organisations, and community-based groups to expand its reach and improve its programs. Key partners include UNICEF, UN Women, and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Our Programmes
Women’s Skill Development Program
A 12-month training initiative offering skills in areas such as tailoring, farming, craft-making, and digital literacy. Women graduate from the program with the tools and confidence to start their own businesses or secure employment
Children’s Educational Support
A sponsorship program that provides school fees, uniforms, books, and materials for underprivileged children, ensuring that they receive uninterrupted education from primary to secondary levels.
Mobile Health Clinics
Bringing healthcare to rural communities, these mobile units offer free medical check-ups, immunisations, pre- and post-natal care, and nutritional advice for mothers and children.
Safe Spaces for Women & Girls
These centres provide counselling, shelter, and support for women and girls escaping domestic violence or seeking refuge from harmful practices. The safe spaces also host workshops on self-defence, reproductive health, and leadership.
